Player Development Program (4-10 year olds)

Welcome to Tynecastle FC player development program.  “I am very excited to introduce the player development program for the first time this year.”; Hadji Sow, Club Technical Director.  The club recognizes the need in providing leadership in player and coaching development at these ages.

The program will introduce individual soccer skills to the new player; (indoor, outdoor, school team)

• Shooting
• Balance
• Fitness
• Loving the game

Coach Hadji, the program director, has a proven record of player development over the past 15 years.  As a staff coach at Manchester United Soccer Academy, he has the experience training diverse groups of youth players.

United States Soccer Federation supports educating creativity and ball skill before tactics beginning at these young ages.  See USSF Best Practices for Coaching Soccer in the US.  Tynecastle development coaches are primarily licensed through USSF.

By the time a U11 player try's out for a select/premier program, potentially several years of development is lost.  At tryouts coaches only have several hours to evaluate players at u11, thus leading to picking players based on player size and speed.  Tynecastle FC program is intended to address this need in a fun and educational environment.
