07.19.10 - Tynecastle Girls Team Busy Weekend - GU11 ChampionsGU11 Champions
Tynecastle girls teams were very busy this weekend. Girls U10 and U17 teams playing at the Nike Crossfire Challenge advanced to the semifinals.  Girls U11 played in the South Hill Revolution Tournament, King of the Hill with 2 teams (White and Maroon), both teams won their group and continued to the semifinals.  White lost in a shootout while the Maroon team beat Synergy 2-1 in the finals to win the tournament.  Congratulations girls for such a successful weekend of soccer.

07.14.10 - Tynecastle B93 - Nike Crossfire Challenge Champions
The boys continue their string of matches without a loss to 14 in winning the Crossfire Challenge this past weekend. Winning US Club Regional and Nike Crossfire Challenge consecutively at 60 Acres is a rare feat. The team is joining the PSPL Super League exclusively this fall.

The new up and coming Tynecastle Boys U10 played outstanding this weekend at the Nike Crossfire Challenge in the 6v6 group.  Defeated teams from Crossfire Premier, Washington Premier and Eastside FC team to make the finals.  Congratulations team and Coach Clem for such an outstanding weekend of soccer.

NWCL07.07.10 - Tynecastle B96 Accepts Invitation to join NWCL
The Northwest Champions League represents the highest level of league competition in Pacific Northwest Region.  The NWCL brings together the top 6 premier teams from Oregon and Washington state for an 8-month long competition that is patterned after the UEFA Champions League.  All players at this age group at Tynecastle are eligible to participate in the league.  Tynecastle teams at this age group are coached by Hadji Sow. 

07.02.10 - 2010 National Cup IXUS Club Soccer
Tynecastle teams had a strong showing this year in US Club Soccer Regional's.  Going into the final day of the regional tournament, Girls 93, Boys 94, 93 and 93 Red, all had the opportunity to advance to the finals.  The boys 96 also placed very well with a tie over Eastside Red and a strong win over WA Rush Nike 3-0.  At the end of the day, G93 and B93 both advanced to the finals.  The girls lost 3-4 in a very tightly contested game that saw them come back to tie the match in regulation.  The boys had strong wins in Super Group play shutting out Crossfire Premier, DeAnza Force (Cal North), HPFC and beating Emerald City in the finals to be the first team to represent Tynecastle FC at National Cup IX.

05.06.10 Tynecastle 93 Team Fundraiser - Colorado Showcase
This Saturday, May 8, Elks Club is hosting a car wash fundraising event for teams heading to Colorado.  Stop by with your Moms' car and give her a clean car for Mothers Day.  Donations will help with team travel costs.  Call Greg Michael at (425) 299-3373 for any questions.  Tynecastle FC will also be assisting the Elks Club with Soccer Shoot this year.

04.27.10 Tynecastle B96 team makes finals in US Club WA Cup
U13 boys, playing in the first WA State Cup for US Club, beat Issaquah 1-0 to advance to the finals, where they lost to the Pumas.  The team now prepares for US Club Regional's at 60 Acres.  Congratulations to the u13 finalists.

04.23.10 Tynecastle G93, B93, B94 teams head to Colorado Showcase May 28-31
U17 boys and girls, along with U16 boys teams are headed to the Colorado Real Cup and Colorado Showcase tournaments next month, hosted by Colorado Real a USSDA member club.  This is the first time Tynecastle has sent 3 teams to the prestigious tournaments.  Games are played in mile high Denver, Dick's Sporting Goods Park, home of the Colorado Rapids. 04.22.10 Coach Kai joins the new Seattle United Club
Tynecastle wishes Kai the very best at her new club in Seattle (right in her backyard).  Kai was instrumental in helping form the girls Academy program.  She will be coaching a couple of new teams, which will give our girls the opportunity for friendly matches with Kai.  Good luck Kai!

04.21.10 Tyny Player Development
Addressing the high costs associated with player development and individual soccer training, Tynecastle FC has opened a program for players who are new to soccer.  Program is available on a first come first serve basis only; for complete registration details see www.tynyfc.com.

04.20.10 Tynecastle FC partners with Casino Road Futbol Academy

For the 2nd year in a row, Tynecastle FC will help the CRFA staff with volunteer coaches for the week of June 28.  Last year was a lot of fun, and this year the camp is expecting 500 kids ages 4 to 15 years old. 
Sign up online at CRFA, camp costs is only $10.00 per camper.

04.03.10 Tynecastle G93 play friendly match vs Langley FC (British Columbia)
Tynecastle FC 93 GirlsOn a windy day at Kasch Park, Tynecastle girls played Provincial champions, Langley FC U17. Langley FC is a premier girls soccer club in British Columbia. 

Tynecastle FC won the friendly match 3-2 in warming up for WYS State Championship Cup. 

Previous friendly saw Tynecastle travel to BC for a friendly match against Langley FC U16.

G93 team is traveling to Denver, CO for the Colorado Showcase this May.

04.02.10 Hadji Sow Joins Tynecastle FC as Club Technical Director

Hadji recently received word that he has passed his Union of European Football Associations UEFA "A" Coaching License.  UEFA coaching license is the highest professional coaching qualifications in European football. Hadji participated this past fall with the top England FA director overseeing the lessons. Congratulations to Hadji and welcome to Tynecastle FC as a head coach and club technical director.Hadji Sow

As Tynecastle technical director, Hadji will provide coaching clinics and oversight of player development for the club.  Hadji comes to Tynecastle FC after spending the past 8 years coaching in WYS, previously with Manchester United Soccer Academy, FC Alliance and FC Marauders.

Hadji noted in his decision to join Tynecastle FC, the club matched his desire and passion to train kids to love the game; "Putting kids first is what I have always believed in."

04.02.10 Kevin Lamb Joins Tynecastle FC Coaching Staff
Kevin is one of the most passionate young coaches, recently joined Tynecastle.  Grew up in Georgia playing premier club soccer where he represented the states ODP program for 6 years. Kevin went on to run collegiately for the University of Michigan on scholarship, where he lettered on varsity 4 years. Ran 200 and 400 (a personal bests of 21.60 and 46.10 qualified Olympic trials).  Voted Seattle Times 2008 4A Coach of the Year. Takes qualifying USSF B license in a few days.

03.05.10 Tynecastle Academy Joins Puget Sound Premier Development League
This year Tynecastle begins a new academy program.  Academy director Lyndon Clement will be responsible for this US Club sanctioned player development program.

Please contact tifc_academy@live.com for additional information and opportunities to play in the inaugural PSPL spring development league at Starfire Complex utilizing the new Modified Fields adjacent to the Seattle Sounders practice fields.  Space is still available for aspiring young soccer players (born after July 31, 1999), play begins March 13 through May 16, 2010.

Update 04.03.10:  PSPL League has been an incredible success.  Teams playing 8v8 and 9v9 on the Starfire Modified fields replicates the true feel of a soccer match.TIFC Academy 00
