08.24.09 Tynecastle 96B - Chinook Cup Champions
The boys traveled down to Oregon this past
weekend and brought back a tournament trophy. Team finished second in
group play, advanced to the Semifinals against WPFC White. Coach Clem
stated the boys played brilliantly against WPFC, dominating possession and
controlling the game, with a 2-0 win. In the finals the boys were matched
up against the team they faced in their first match of the tournament, where
they were handed their first loss. The finals was to be a different story.
It took Tynecastle an overtime to eventually go ahead and capture the
championship,
beating MVSC Albany Rapids 3-2. Congratulations to Coach Clem and the
team.
08.21.09 Tynecastle 91B - Finalists Bigfoot Tournament

07.27.09 Tynecastle players help Elderly in Shoreline
Around 30 Tynecastle players and their coaches
came to the aid of a widow in Shoreline, where they spent the day landscaping,
painting, and demolition of a kitchen and bathroom. This effort was very
appreciated by the homeowner, a recent widow and accident survivor with limited
mobility. Tynecastle board appreciates the “team building” efforts of the
players, and thanks everyone for the tremendous care of someone in the local
community. The efforts were also covered by
The Enterprise.
07.11.09 - Tynecastle 93G - Nike Crossfire Challenge
The
Girls started fast in the Crossfire Challenge today with a 2-0 win over Emerald
City FC. Both goals scored came at the end of the first and second halves,
were taken very well by Tash. The defense did well closing down any real
challenges by ECFC. Come support the girls on as they play in a very
difficult
bracket against Crossfire and Columbia Timbers. The girls finished 2nd in
group play with a record of 1-1-1. Losing to Crossfire, the eventual
tournament champions. Girls played well without a GK, having to rotate
field players in and out.
The team is looking for a GK, anyone interested in taking a look at the team,
please contact Allen Johnson, (206) 948-0582.
07.08.09 - Tynecastle 93B - Super Group Finalists at US Club Soccer

past weekend at the tournament in Burlington. Playing before a large
Tynecastle crowd, boys went toe to toe in an entertaining final. The first
80 minutes resulted in a 0-0 tie. The 2 overtime sessions also netted a
0-0 tie, taking the game to PK's. GK Andrew was up for the challenge
stopping Emerald City first 2 attempts, but Tynecastle did not capitalize on the
advantage resulting in ECFC winning on the 5th PK, 3-2. Next stop for the
