Coach Clem
USSF B License

Soccer is Clem’s, passion in life having played from a young age through to semi-professional level in UK as an adult. His aim is to pass on his experiences and love of the game to today’s youth and help them to achieve their ambitions and at the Premier level and beyond. He believes the game can teach many of life’s important lessons such as learning to be a gracious winner as well as how to be humble in defeat. Most importantly a young player can learn that pushing yourself and working hard pays off in victory both on the soccer field and in life. Clem believes being a part of a team is also important. It builds team spirit, competitive heart, sportsmanship and more. These are life skills that will benefit the kids as they grow into adulthood. Above all it is important to him that they enjoy their childhood and have fond memories of the fun they had with their soccer experience.

Clem began his soccer playing career as a Semi-Professional in England and Wales. He played in the Welsh Premier League in 1978-1985 with Abercynon FC where they participated in the Welsh Cup versus Shrewsbury Town, Swansea City and Hereford. He then played for Shefford Town in the South Midlands League from 1985-1986 and Stotfold Town in the United Counties League 1986-1988. From 1989-1992 he was BA Dynamics FC Player Manager in the Hertfordshire County League in England.

Coaching experience:  Clem begins his 2nd year with Tynecastle as head coach for Tynecastle B98 and B96 teams.  Both teams won their groups in the US Club Soccer PSPL. 

 

 

Former coaching experience:  7 years with the Silver Lake Soccer Club. Atlantic boys ‘93 Dist 1 Champions 2004 BU-11, 2005 BU-12, 2006 BU-14 Rainier Cup Champions, 2004 Snohomish Invitational Champions, 2004 WSYSA Fred Meyer Commissioners Cup Semi-Finalist, 2005 WSYSA State Championship Cup Semi-Finalist, 2006 BU-12 WSYSA State Championship Cup Semi-Finalist, 2007 BU-13 British Columbia Pacific NW Champions.
