G99 Super League Spring 2013 – Champions

Congratulations to the girls for winning the Super League.  The team finished with 7 wins and a single loss.  The girls had a strong showing with a Goal Differential of +18 in 8 matches.  The team defended well, allowing a league low of only 4 goals.  Team finished league play with 2 difficult away wins in Spokane; 4-1 over Spokane United and 2-1 over Spokane Foxes.  Awsome job in a very strong division in the PSPL.

Follow the teams progress in the WA Cup.  Currently in group play the girls have 3 strait shutout wins (1-0, 1-0, 8-0).

Congratulations to 3 Tynecastle players being selected – id2

Tynecastle FC is excited to announce that three of its players have been selected to the first-ever US Club Soccer id2 event in Washington state!  Cameron Rao, Hoss Al-Nassar and Jadyn Edwards have received invitations to attend the one-day player identification tryout at Starfire on March 2.

Cameron and Hoss play for the boys U12, coached by Hoggy and Jadyn is a member of the girls U13 team, which is led by Rick McCampbell.

Tynecastle Coaching Director David Hoggan was pleased that three of Tynecastle’s finest young talents have an opportunity to try to reach the next level of play — regional camp and possibly the U.S National Team player pool.

It’s still a long road ahead, but pushing our players to the next level is what Tynecastle is all about, said “Hoggy.”

“This is the reason we started Tynecastle,” Hoggy said. “To help young players aspire to be the best. Hopefully, like Hoss, Cameron and Jadyn, if you push yourself and work hard, you can achieve your dreams. These three young players are an inspiration for all of us, and we wish them all the best at the tryout.”

The PSPL runs the Washington State Premier League, which is one of US Club Soccer’s 17 National Premier Leagues located across the country of which Tynecastle FC is a member club.

US Club Soccer’s Player Development Programs are regionally-based identification and developmental programs conducted within the id2 Program umbrella and centered around the National Premier Leagues in specific geographic areas.

Players from all around the state have been invited to the id2 event in two specific age groups — boys born in 2000 and girls born in 1999 calendar years. The players represent such clubs as Crossfire Premier, Eastside FC, Issaquah Soccer Club, Washington Premier, Tynecastle FC, Northwest United, Academy of Soccer Excellence and Seattle United.

“We are pleased to bring the id2 program to Washington state for the first time to give some of our state’s best players a shot at reaching the regional or national stage,” said PSPL President Stanley Holmes. “Not only is the training top quality for the players, but the whole experience is free. id2 makes it possible for those who have been overlooked — for whatever reason — another chance to make their case.”

US Club Soccer’s id2 National Identification and Development Program and Player Development Programs are sanctioned as an Olympic Development Program as approved by the United States Olympic Committee and U.S. Soccer Federation.

PDP invitations are based upon scouting within the NPL, scouting of NPL clubs and other nearby clubs, as well as recommendations from Directors of Coaching. Based upon this scouting and recommendation process, top players are invited to attend PDP events.

NPL General Manager id2 program scout Chris Baer will be leading a strong assembly of top local coaches who will be running the day-long session as well as evaluating the players.

The coaching staff include:

  • Mike Washington, Whitman College
  • Amy Griffen, University of Washington
  • Rick McCampbell, Tynecastle FC
  • Kristian Powell, Northwest United
  • Emerson DeOliveira, Issaquah Soccer Club/keeper trainer

“We are excited to be in Seattle working with the top 1999 girls and 2000 boys players,” Baer said. “It will be a great opportunity for the players to showcase their abilities and we are hopeful that some of them will get a chance to move on to the regional id2 Program Training camps this Spring.”

Players selected from the day-long id2 event will be invited to one of two regional camps:

March 21-24, 2013 in Chula Vista, Calif.
April 11-14 in Charleston, S.C
